Leasing Requirments

LEASING REQUIRMENTS

Age – Anyone renting and/or operating a boat must be at least 30 years old and have prior boating experience operating the type of boat reserved. If born on or after January 1, 1988, operator must have completed a NASBLA-approved boater education course prior to operating a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or more. The law requires that persons affected by this legislation have in their possession a Boating Safety Education I.D. Card issued by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission and photographic I.D. while operating a vessel. (Out of state boaters license or safety course cards may be accepted.) A boater’s safety course merely means you know and understand the “rules of the road” You must also have actual experience before operating a boat.

Experience – Anyone operating a boat must have prior boating experience operating the type of boat they are Leasing/Operating. Example types would be power boats, outboard, equivalent size, wheel steering, exc.

Photo ID and valid Credit Card – You will also need to provide a government issue photo I.D. such as driver’s license, passport or state I.D. and credit card in your name prior to ever taking possession of the vessel your leasing. If born on or after January 1, 1988, you will have to provide your Boating Safety Education I.D. Card issued by the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission as well.

Payment of Boat Rental –When making your reservation the card you provided will be charged for the full boat rental amount, an $8 per day maintenance charge and tax.

Proof of Rental Insurance- You must add insurance to your reservation for Boat Rentals, You can do this when you make a reservation online

Incidentals/Miscellaneous Payment – On day of charter the credit cardholder of lessee who made the initial reservation must come in person and sign the paperwork. All Incidentals/miscellaneous payments made for boat rental must be with the same card of which lessee used to reserve the boat. If card is expired by the day of charter, lessee must provide a new credit card with lessee’s name. If credit card has since expired from when making the initial reservation cardholder may use a different card if it is still in cardholder’s name. If cardholder has since been married and card is no longer valid under maiden name cardholder must provide valid card with married name. Incidentals/Miscellaneous Payment may also be done in cash, but credit card of lessee must still be provided. Failure to do so will result in a non-refundable cancellation. A payment of $750 for Incidentals/miscellaneous will be charged prior to Lessee taking possession of the boat. A cash payment is also accepted. Lessee must still provide Atlantis Boat Rental LLC with Lessees credit card.

$750 Incidentals/Miscellaneous Payment

You must provide a $750 incidentals /miscellaneous payment on the day of your rental. The hold will be returned after all rental procedures, fueling of rental and payments of items or additional fees from Atlantis Boat Rental are paid. Depending on your hold it may take 1-5 business days to return to you. If cash hold it may be returned same day.
